The Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship is a great starting point for anyone looking to begin a career in finance. Apprentices will work towards the Accounts / Finance Assistant Apprenticeship standard at level 2, and will gain their AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.
Throughout the apprenticeship, learners will complete apprenticeship assessment activities (formerly End-Point Assessment) designed to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard.
Assessment may take place throughout the programme and can include a range of methods, depending on the apprenticeship standard. These may include projects, professional discussions, presentations, observations and other assessment activities.
We will work closely with our learners and employers throughout the programme to ensure apprentices are supported and prepared to successfully achieve their apprenticeship.
Apprentices will learn the basics of accounting, including; basic bookkeeping activities, costing and working effectively in finance.
Completing an AAT Level 2 qualification allows you to progress directly into higher-level AAT study, specialised financial job roles, or chartered accounting pathways.
Employing a Level 2 AAT apprentice provides immediate support for core finance functions, including processing financial data, managing ledgers, and reconciling invoices. This additional resource helps improve efficiency, reduce administrative pressures, and enables experienced staff to focus on driving business performance.
