Course duration: Approximately 18 months.
Delivery method:
The apprentice will work towards the Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship standard at level 4, and will be required to have completed Level 3 Accountancy or equivalent, or have relevant work experience. Alongside the apprenticeship, learners will also gain AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting.
Throughout the apprenticeship, learners will complete apprenticeship assessment activities (formerly End-Point Assessment) designed to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard.
Assessment may take place throughout the programme and can include a range of methods, depending on the apprenticeship standard. These may include projects, professional discussions, presentations, observations and other assessment activities.
We will work closely with our learners and employers throughout the programme to ensure apprentices are supported and prepared to successfully achieve their apprenticeship.
The programme covers a wide range of transferable skills such as analysis, communication, leadership, planning and prioritisation, producing quality and accurate information, team working and collaboration also using business systems and processes.
Apprentices will learn about accounting, business awareness, ethical standards, regulation & compliance and systems & processes.
Completing the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting provides direct entry routes into chartered accountancy bodies and senior finance roles with significant exam exemptions.
