Apprenticeships for Employers with Access Training

HR Support Level 3
The programme covers a wide range of skills in HR processes, ranging from transactional to relatively complex, recruitment through to retirement; using HR systems to keep records, providing relevant HR information to the business, working with the business on HR changes and many more. Knowledge includes: understanding organisation structures, HR legislation and policy, HR team functions and processes, how to deal with HR queries, developing solutions to HR problems and escalating complex issues, maintaining staff details on computer systems and handling sensitive situations professionally and confidentially.
Delivery is through a mixture of training (both on and off the job) and a series of day release workshops on a monthly basis (which can also be delivered on a remote basis) throughout the duration of the programme.
Approximately 18 months
The apprentice will work towards the HR Support Apprenticeship standard at level 3, and may also be required to sit functional skills at level 2 in Maths and English prior to completion (functional skills will not be required if exemptions are held).
Towards the end of the apprenticeship, the employer and Access Trainer will agree when the apprentice is ready for the end point assessment (EPA). An independent assessment organisation will carry out the EPA to assess whether the apprentice has met all of the requirements of the standard.
The EPA includes; submission of a consultative project (around 3000 words) which will describe a situation where the apprentice has successfully worked with a customer (most likely internally) to deliver a specific piece of HR advice or provide HR solutions demonstrating the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) required by the standard and a professional discussion.

People Professional Level 5
The programme is aimed at those working in a role that supports the employee lifecycle, this apprenticeship provides learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required by a HR professional.
Delivery is through a mixture of training (both on and off the job) and a series of day release workshops on a monthly basis (which can also be delivered on a remote basis) throughout the duration of the programme.
Approximately 22 months
Includes completion of the Level 5 CIPD Diploma in People Management. A CIPD accredited qualification that is recognised across the industry.
