Performing Manufacturing Operations
Apprenticeships for Employers with Access Training

Duration of the programme: Approximately 12-15 months
The Performing Manufacturing Operations level 2 apprenticeship has been designed by industry for individuals involved in a manufacturing process whatever the sector. Learners may typically be responsible for the day-to-day running of equipment and for the quality of work.
As an apprentice, you will develop skills in shaping, moulding, packaging, process control, quality & inspection as well as health & safety and general housekeeping duties. It will enable you to become skilled in the manufacturing process of a product as well as developing a good awareness of health & safety. Training is delivered on a 1-2-1 basis in the workplace.
You will work towards the level 2 Performing Manufacturing Operations (PEO) apprenticeship which includes a competency qualification (level 2 NVQ), may also be required sit functional skills in Maths and English prior to completion (functional skills will not be required if exemptions are held).
Assessment
On this apprenticeship you will be continuously assessed throughout the programme. There are a number of approaches being used for the continuous assessment including observations in the workplace, professional discussions and a portfolio of work.
