At Image 003

Duration of the programme: Approximately 16 months

Upcoming start dates – November 2026

The Business Administrator apprenticeship standard has come a long way since the original frameworks were introduced many years ago, and it now has an increased focus on the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a successful administrator.

The programme covers a wide range of transferrable skills such as decision making, communication, IT Skills, quality, planning and project management. Knowledge includes: business fundamentals, policies and processes.  Delivery is through a mixture of training (both on and off the job) with a programme of day release workshops at our Team Valley training centre throughout the duration of the programme.

As an apprentice, you will work towards the level 3 Business Administrator standard, and may also be required to sit functional skills at level 2 in Maths and English prior to completion (functional skills will not be required if exemptions are held).

Assessment

Towards the end of the apprenticeship, the employer and our Trainer will agree when you are ready for the end point assessment (EPA).  An independent assessment organisation will carry out the EPA to assess whether you have met all of the requirements of the standard.  There are a number of approaches being used during the EPA, including a knowledge test, a portfolio based interview and a project presentation.
