Not only has the government introduced the levy but they have also introduced the new standards replacing many original Apprenticeship frameworks and covering a wider range of job roles – it’s the biggest shake-up of Apprenticeships in decades.
Traditionally many may think Apprenticeships are aimed at school leavers starting in their careers, but they are also aimed at existing staff and can be accessed to upskill both new and more experienced members of your team including Management.
We can currently offer Apprenticeships in the following occupational areas:
- Business Administration
- Customer Service
- Social Media & Digital Marketing
- IT User
- Installing Security Systems
Employers who don’t pay the levy will be able to access government support of 90% towards the cost of Apprenticeship Training, while businesses with 49 or less employees will be able to access full funding for staff aged 16-18. Apprentices aged 16-18 will attract an additional payment of £1000 to employers of all sizes.
The changes are intended to help create three million apprenticeships by 2020. As a major commitment to increasing both the quality and quantity of Apprenticeships in England, the government is putting the control in the hands of employers.
Access Training are proud to announce that they achieved a 93% employer satisfaction score in a recent Education & Skills Funding Agency employer survey – which reflects the high levels of service and quality you can expect to receive should you choose Access.
