Selection process

If your application meets the required standard we will invite you for an initial interview at our Training Centre on the Team Valley in Gateshead.

CVs for those applicants successful at the initial interview are sent to employers who may invite you for an interview at their premises which in turn may lead to an offer of employment.

Access will then work with you and your employer to achieve your apprenticeship qualification.

Job Description:

Job Description:

  • Maintenance of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems for clients ensuring compliance with the appropriate standards
  • Will work closely with the Service Engineers attending site visits to carry out routine maintenance work, reporting defects
  • Also ascertaining any incorrect positioning of sensors and completing maintenance reports and liaising with customers on site
  • Use of hand tools and a cordless drill

Job Description:

  • Undertake reception duties, answering telephone calls and dealing with routine face to face enquiries and signing in visitors

  • Submitting risk assessments, method statements & insurance documentation
  • Compiling delivery schedules for our in-house & external teams
  • Updating the internal management system, adding monthly site visits/costs and updating accordingly
  • Checking reports before issue to clients
  • Uploading client reports onto relevant portals
  • Keeping competency certificates & subcontractor insurance documentation on file and up-to-date
  • Maintaining a record of client keys for site access & posting to contractors/clients as required
  • Able to prioritise
  • A good telephone manner and customer service skills are essential
  • Previous admin experience also essential, plus competent in MS Office Suite
  • Driving licence desirable, but not essential.
