Selection process

If your application meets the required standard we will invite you for an initial interview at our Training Centre on the Team Valley in Gateshead.

CVs for those applicants successful at the initial interview are sent to employers who may invite you for an interview at their premises which in turn may lead to an offer of employment.

Access will then work with you and your employer to achieve your apprenticeship qualification.

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a business administration apprentice at Wearside Pneumatics based on Team Valley, Gateshead.

Duties to include:

  • Typing up quotations, answering the telephone, processing incoming and outgoing post, data input,
  • use of the bespoke IT system, generating invoices and delivery notes and booking goods in and out on the system, filing and scanning documents, photocopying etc.
  • Will also liaise with customers re deliveries and occasionally serving customers on the trade counter.
  • Will also support within the warehouse for around 2 hours per day – receiving goods in and unpacking / locating them into the correct storage areas and also preparing deliveries for dispatch – however this position is predominantly an office based administrative role.

This is a varied role and duties will include: receiving goods into the warehouse, checking and locating into the correct storage areas, reporting any damages, picking and packing outgoing goods, stock control duties – use of the in house computer system and regular ordering of stock with suppliers, also data input.

Will also arrange transportation of goods via carriers as well as general housekeeping duties and adhering to health & safety guidelines.
